Tree Fredericksburg hosted the Fall Native Plant Festival with thousands of trees and shrubs now headed into the community.
More than 2,400 native plants and 3,000 shrubs were distributed with the help of volunteers—boosting pollinator habitat, improving the environment, and building a healthier urban forest.
The festival is one piece of a larger effort to restore canopy cover, expand biodiversity, and promote sustainable landscaping citywide. Details on future programs are available at treefredericksburg.org.
