The Virginia Department of Forestry says peak fall color is finally spreading across Virginia, with the Allegheny, Blue Ridge and Massanutten mountains near, at, or past peak. This weekend will offer some of the best fall scenery in these areas.
The weekly report says Southwest Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley are close behind. Meanwhile, everything east of the Blue Ridge is a few weeks behind, but more fall color is coming through every day.
