Six SAWs-Virginia volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon building a wheelchair ramp for a King George resident. Working in bitter cold and steady wind, the crew stayed focused as they measured, cut and assembled the ramp section by section.
The new structure will provide the homeowner with safer, more reliable access in and out of the house. SAWs-Virginia completes similar mobility-access projects across the region, relying entirely on volunteer labor and donated support to meet community needs. sawsva.org
