Shopping can wait! On a cold, crisp morning, the group harvested more than 1,000 pounds of fresh vegetables for local families, including cabbage, kale, collards, turnips, radishes and broccoli.

Rich Larochelle says the effort shows how volunteer support directly translates into food on the table. So far this year, the farm has donated about 41,000 pounds of produce to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank and pantries across the region.
