Fire trucks, ambulances, tubas and trumpets join forces for the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra’s annual outreach concert Lolli-Pops, Saturday, March 14.
This tribute to our region’s hometown heroes starts in the parking lot of James Monroe High School where families can see and interact with first responder vehicles. Inside, the FSO’s instrument “petting zoo” will be set up in the lobby, offering kids the chance to see, touch and try a variety of musical instruments. Principal musicians will be on hand to demonstrate them, too.
The concert begins at 4 p.m. in the auditorium and features music from Chicken Run, Super Mario Bros., Wicked, How to Train Your Dragon with performances by Raina Chan and Kahuna Pereyra.
The hourlong concert is free for anyone 18 and under and $20 for adults. Get tickets here.
