Caroline County Public Schools is seeking community members to serve on the CCPS Legacy Awards Committee. Applicants can represent either the Hall of Fame or Hall of Distinction. A total of eight committee members will be selected — four for the Hall of Fame and four for the Hall of Distinction.
Last year, CCPS launched its athletic Hall of Fame, and this year is expanding to include the Hall of Distinction, former students who achieved excellence in the school division’s 3Es of enrollment, employment, or enlistment.
Committee responsibilities will include reviewing nominations, evaluating applications using a rubric, and selecting the 2026 honorees. Committee members must be committed to attending all scheduled meetings and events.
The committee application window is currently open and ends on May 15. Applicants will be notified of their selection on May 18. The first committee meeting is June 1 with the announcement of selections set for Sept. 25 and an awards gala on Nov. 12.
