Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging is participating in the Department of Aging and Rehabilitation’s Senior Cool Care Program. The program, which runs from May 1 through Oct. 31, helps vulnerable, low-income older adults stay safe and comfortable during Virginia’s hottest months.
Through the program, qualified older adults may receive a fan or air conditioning unit, ensuring they have access to adequate cooling in their homes. The program focuses on those most in need, including older adults who may lack sufficient cooling in their homes or who are at increased risk due to health conditions or limited resources.
Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging encourages community members, caregivers, and service providers to help spread the word about the availability of this program.
