Caroline’s Promise, in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank, is offering home delivery of meals to families from June 1 to Aug. 1.
The delivery service replaces the Caroline’s Promise drive-thru sites, which were formerly at Oxford Mount Zion Baptist Church and Lotus Academy.
Parents and guardians with children who could benefit from the program are asked to fill out a registration form. They can also email Caroline’s Promise Executive Director Shermeka Baker-Latney at [email protected] for more information.
The service is first-come, first-serve. Home delivery will occur via UPS every 10 days, providing 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches. All who register by May 28 will receive their first 10-day kids meal box between June 1-3.
An option for food pickup in the county remains, as well, at the following times and locations:
- Monday — Caroline Family YMCA, 8-9 a.m.
- Tuesday — Meadow Event Park (Gate 6), 6-7 p.m.
- Wednesday — Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail, noon-1:30 p.m.
- Thursday — Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 18580 Partlow Road, 10:30 a.m. to noon (no pickup on June 19)
