by | Aug 11, 2025 | ALLFFP, Education, Government, Politics & Elections, Spotsylvania

This fall, Spotsylvania County voters have no shortage of options with a total of 14 candidates vying for three board of supervisors and three school board seats. Statewide races for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general are also on the ballot, as well as multiple House of Delegates races. Here’s what to expect.

Unless specified, the links you see below will take you to the candidate’s profile on the Virginia Public Access project, which has information about campaign finances and more. Where the Free Press has reported on a candidate or race, you’ll also see a link to our content inviting you to “read more.”

We’ll update this guide continuously as election day draws closer.

Before reading further, check out this link to view the seven district maps in the county. Your district determines which set of school board and board of supervisors candidates will appear on your ballot.

The county also has a portal that directs you to the Virginia Department of Elections website to enter your address to find out your polling place. We checked it, and it works! (And, while you’re at it, visit the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal to check your voter registration status.)

OK, now onto the candidates.
