A dozen volunteers spent Monday afternoon at Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak, harvesting more than 580 pounds of fresh produce.

Rich Larochelle says the team gathered 191 pounds of cabbage, 181 pounds of collards and 125 pounds of kale, plus radishes and turnips—all set to be distributed by The Table at St. George’s at noon Tuesday.

With this pickup, Larochelle says the farm’s year-to-date total rises to 35,640 pounds of vegetables delivered around the region to help reduce hunger and strengthen food security.
