The marker, discovered abandoned on a Spotsylvania farm in the 1980s, will be installed alongside the grave of her father and near that of her infant son.
Despite years of research, Spooner’s original burial site has never been found.
The public is invited to attend as the stone is given a permanent home in the cemetery. Organizers say the placement ensures Spooner’s name—and her connection to the community—will no longer be overlooked.
