CSX will close Route 638 (Lansdowne Road) at the railroad crossing near the Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania County line for maintenance next week, affecting through traffic.
Lansdowne will close at the railroad crossing at 9 a.m. Monday, and the road will remain shut down until 9 p.m. Thursday.
A detour will be posted during the closure.
For passenger vehicles, the recommended detour posted will be:
- Route 636 (Mine Road)
- Route 608 (Benchmark Road)
- Routes 2/17 (Tidewater Trail)
The truck detour route will be:
- Route 636 (Mine Road)
- Route 1 (Patriot Highway)
- Route 1 Business (Lafayette Boulevard)
- Route 3 (Blue and Gray Parkway)
- Route 2/17 (Tidewater Trail)
