The Caroline Sheriff’s Office says a Caroline High School student was arrested Monday when he came to school with a stolen handgun. 18-year old Syncere Brown of Ruther Glen was charged wtih felony theft of a firearm, possessing a firearm on school grounds and domestic assault. He’s in the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa said there was a domestic incident at Brown’s home over the weekend and the gun was taken. Brown didn’t return home and school officials were told to be on the lookout. Caroline authorities say when Brown came to school he was immediately taken to an administrator’s office where the gun was found.
Sheriff Lippa says there was never a threat to students or the administration. He says the investigation is ongoing.
