Sugar Shack Donuts Fredericksburg is open.
The store at 801 William St. had barely announced its soft opening on Facebook Thursday morning before people were lined up. “We are in training days Thursday – Saturday from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. (ish),” a sign on the door said. “Donuts may be limited to six a person until we are rolling full scale, but it’s all part of the perfect donut experience in the end.”
The store will remain open during construction.
The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
