The pipes most at risk are those in unheated interior spaces such as basements, attics and garages. Stafford County’s Department of Utilities has put together some helpful tips.
As of January 3, 2023, all fines currently on customers’ records will be waived and future fines on overdue materials will be eliminated. Fees will still be charged for lost or damaged materials.
When other items travel down the pipes, they get trapped in the grease, causing clogged pipes and backups in the home, resulting in costly repairs for homeowners.
Both residential service centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, starting Saturday, December 3. Weekday hours will change to 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
