Snow Predicted for Fredericksburg Region

Here we go … again.
The Fredericksburg region — including the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford and King George — could see five to eight inches of snow accumulate between 5 p.m. Sunday through Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning.  A mix of rain and snow will develop late Sunday afternoon transitioning to all snow early Sunday evening, the NWS said.

NWS Issues Flood Warning for Fredericksburg Region

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, Orange, Prince William and Eastern Culpeper.
By 2 p.m. April 30, about two inches of rain had fallen across the area since the morning, and numerous creeks, steams and rivers were overflowing their banks, the NWS said.

Heat Index Expected Near 105

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Fredericksburg region from noon to 7 p.m. July 2.  Heat index values are expected to reach about 105 degrees, with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
The combination of high temperatures and high humidity create a situation in which heat related illnesses are possible.   The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends these precautions:
