NWS Issues Flood Warning for Fredericksburg Region

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, Orange, Prince William and Eastern Culpeper.
By 2 p.m. April 30, about two inches of rain had fallen across the area since the morning, and numerous creeks, steams and rivers were overflowing their banks, the NWS said.

Improvements Coming to City Dock

Improvements Coming to City Dock

Fredericksburg’s City Dock public boat landing and parking lot on Sophia Street will be closed June 30 through August 31 for improvements.
Virginia’s Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will be replacing the concrete boat ramps and courtesy piers.  In addition, an ADA accessible fishing trail will be constructed along the shoreline with three stations designed for shoreline fishing.
