“Rappahannock” will be shown in the University of Mary Washington’s Dodd Auditorium at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. The free event is hosted by Friends of the Rappahannock. Dodd Auditorium is located in George Washington Hall on the main campus of UMW at 1301 College Ave.
The intensive, industrial operation threatens the infrastructure and water supply of communities and surrounding areas, FOR said.
The grand opening celebration is 6 – 9 p.m. June 5, 2015.

Kathleen (Kathy) Harrigan wants everyone in Fredericksburg to value the treasure of the Rappahannock River. “Id like locals to enjoy the river and to see more of it that just through a car window over a bridge crossing,” said the new executive director of Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR). “I want people to get in a boat or on the shore and really appreciate the beautiful resource we have.”

Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) presents Fly Fishing 101 from 9 a.m. – noon on Saturday, Aug. 16.
“This is a perfect workshop for beginning fly fishers and Scouts working on the fly fishing merit badge,” said Woodie Walker, community conservationist with Friends of the Rappahannock.
