Wednesday, Dec. 17

Of course there’s live music in Fredericksburg on Wednesday nights! Miss Lady & Mr. Man’s Open Mic is free and open to all ages every Wednesday. Bring your instrument, or just your ears, and enjoy a lovely evening with friends in a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. Who are Miss Lady and Mr. Man? Well, go down and find out! All welcome. (Sound system set up, and a house guitar available. Bring your own everything else if you want!)

Just want to listen? Jenna & Jay Kole, a husband and wife duo, bring an eclectic set of original alt-rock tunes to be experienced. Jenna’s vocals are pure and true, and Jay’s percussion is pumpin’.

Thursday, Dec. 18

Kenmore Inn hosts one of Fredericksburg’s favorite musical couples, Pete Mealy & Laurie Rose Griffith, accompanied by Henry on upright bass. Enjoy world folk in its finest form, with inspiring original
songwriting, Americana traditionals, Irish jigs, and ballads from all over. Griffith’s vocals are heartbreakingly beautiful, and the harmonies gripping; not to mention, the music will keep you hopping.

The Bruce Middle Trio, a progressive jazz group that performs original mind bending music and covers everything from 1940s jazz, to 1960s psychedelic rock, to 2015 rock/jazz fusion. Aptly called The
Chameleon, this UMW adjunct guitar professor can play anything. There is something for everyone, each tune tastefully flavored by this titan of the strings.

Friday, Dec. 19
Ask Fred brings a kickin’ mix of soul, blues, and folk rock. Kathy Douberly’s raspy and formidable vocals sit atop a solid groovin’ band with Adam Douberly (her son) on bass, Tom Schiff on guitar, and several special guests! Amber (Sunsette Syndicate) may hop up and sing a tune, as well.
