66th Annual Fredericksburg Fine Arts Show and Sale
Friday, March 31, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., with a champagne opening reception 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, April 2, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
At the Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
This year’s show hosts more than 80 artists and more than 240 artworks. Proceeds from this year’s art show and sale will benefit the Thurman Brisben Center, community recreation programs, and local artists.

Betty J. Hunter Scholarship Committee Shred Day
Saturday, April 1, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Loriella Park, 10910 Leavells Rd., Fredericksburg, VA, 22407
The cost of shredding is $5/box of paper. These boxes can be standard copy paper boxes or banker’s boxes. Larger trash bags of paper will cost $8/bag. Cash or check.

Fit History Hike: Chancellorsville
Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. at Chancellorsville History Trail (3.6 miles round trip)
Join historian Becky Oakes to learn about the struggles of soldiers and civilians alike in the tangled wooded landscape. Meet at the Chancellorsville Visitor Center, 9001 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, Virginia, 22553. Wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water, and pack a snack. Bug spray and long pants are also suggested. Free.

27th Annual Multicultural Fair at the University of Mary Washington
Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., on the University of Mary Washington Fredericksburg campus, 1301 College Ave., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
An entire day devoted to multicultural entertainment, children’s activities, international and American food, and ethnic craft vendors.
Free admission.

The People’s Street: Princess Anne Walking Tour

Walk ‘n Roll Fredericksburg
Sunday, April 2, 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at at the Quarles Petroleum parking lot, 1701 Fall Hill Ave., Fredericksburg.
Walk or Roll (wheelchair, stroller, wagon, bike, walker) on the 1-mile or 3-mile hike around Fredericksburg’s Heritage Trail. Compete with other teams to get the most donations in support of the disAbility Resource Center. Kids games, music, and food begin at 11:30 a.m. Walk begins at 1 p.m. Prizes for the most funds raised by a team, most team spirit, funniest dog and cutest dog. Register online.
