The Meadow was purchased by the State Fair of Virginia in 2005 as an economic development business recruitment, and is now owned by the Virginia Farm Bureau which operates the Fair. Owner, Penny Chenery credited Caroline County with preserving the Meadow through the retention of the entire site for the use of the State Fair.
