by | Feb 15, 2024 | Police and Fire

From the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office:

On February 08, 2024, the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Special Emergency Response Team, deputies, and narcotics investigators conducted a search warrant at 7414 Rylands Road, Woodford, Virginia, 22580. The search warrant was a result of an illegal Fentanyl distribution investigation conducted by CCSO narcotics investigators.
As a result of the search warrant, 57 year-old Cynthia Ann Woods of Woodford was arrested for one count of distribution of schedule I or II drugs, and 21 year-old Ayreanna Michelle Heflin was arrested for four counts of distribution of schedule I or II drugs, and three counts of distribution of fentanyl as a terrorist weapon. Cynthia Woods was held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail under a $2500.00 bond, and Ayreanna Heflin was held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail without bond. Narcotics investigators reported seizing paraphernalia and items associated with the packaging and distribution of fentanyl during the search warrant.
Sheriff Scott Moser stated, “Fentanyl is a deadly drug that continues to devastate families and communities throughout the United States. Although these arrests will not replace any of the lives that have been lost to fatal overdoses, they do ultimately make Caroline County safer for everyone, and your Caroline County Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant in our fight against those who chose to profit from dealing these potentially deadly drugs. Remember, just one pill can kill.”
