The Yellow Jackets find themselves in the state tournament for the first time since 2012, when they fell to Fluvanna in the quarterfinals… Yellow Jackets point guard Mikel Minor is just 27 points away from breaking the VHSL record for most points scored by a freshman in a single season… The Yellow Jackets come into Tuesday’s home contest fresh off hoisting their first regional championship trophy since 1986… The Mighty Bookers, meanwhile, will be looking to shake off a 65-39 loss to Lake Taylor in the Region 3A championship game this past Friday… The winner will face either Meridian or Lake Taylor in a state semifinal March 1.
