A fight between two employees at a Stafford County warehouse led to a stabbing, and now the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect.

The incident occurred on March 8 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Deputy C.S. Harding responded to Genesis Logistics, located at 705 Bradburn Place, after a phone call reporting an alleged assault.

Authorities talked to witnesses, reviewed camera footage and collected evidence to determine that during the fight, the alleged suspect produced a bladed object. The victim attempted to escape, but was allegedly chased down and assaulted with the bladed object.

The victim departed to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. He was able to fight off his attacker, who fled the scene in a dark colored sedan before deputies arrived.

The suspect was identified as Leonard Pratt Jr., 22, of Port Royal. He is wanted and facing charges of malicious wounding, assault and battery and disorderly conduct. The Stafford Sheriff’s Office is asking that if anyone has any information on Pratt’s whereabouts they should call the sheriff’s office at 658-4450.
