VIDEO: The story of one Civil War soldier buried at the Fredericksburg National Cemetery

The names of over 83% of the soldiers in the Fredericksburg National Cemetery are not known. But we do know about 21-year old Hiram Lare because of the efforts of one soldier after the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse. John Launius with the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park told Hiram Lare’s story during the annual Luminaria.
