Nearly three dozen students from Key Club, National Honor Society and UNICEF worked in teams alongside adult volunteers throughout the afternoon.
Projects included The Giving Tree initiative inside the gym, along with litter cleanup and tree mulching efforts across the school grounds.
Organizers said the event honored Dr. King’s legacy by encouraging students to serve their community on a national day of service rather than treating the holiday as a day off.
