Biz Beat Roundup will return July 15 following a two-week break.
- FFP report: The local radiology group Virginia Medical Imaging earlier this month filed a lawsuit against Mary Washington Healthcare — its partner in the company Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg — alleging that the healthcare system engaged in “self-dealing and harmful conduct” against MIF, which provides outpatient diagnostic imaging services at eight locations across the region.
- Water & Barley is opening its downtown Fredericksburg bagel shop (529 Caroline St.) on Wednesday (June 24). (Also note — Galvin’s Delicatessen at 218 William St. also sells homemade bagels.)
- Former Fredericksburg Regional Alliance President Curry Roberts and Fraser Wood Elements owner David Fraser were appointed to the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority (EDA) this week. They replace outgoing EDA members Tom Wack and Mitzi Brown.

This Stafford County waterfront home sold last week for $1.15 million, topping the list of weekly sales in the region.
There were 100 home sales in the Fredericksburg region last week, including three for more than $1 million, according to this week’s report from the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors (FAAR). Check back weekly for the past-week sales (the next list will run in Biz Beat Roundup July 15 and include three weeks’ worth of sales).
- The Stafford Crossing Community Church at 1420 Forbes St. in Stafford is seeking to build a 2,926-square-foot addition to its facility. A proffer amendment and conditional use permit are required for the project.
- The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources office at 1320 Belman Road in Fredericksburg will be permanently closing as of Friday (June 26), according to its website.
- FFP report: St. George’s Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg is undergoing a $3 million restoration project.
