Six volunteers helped Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak (Stafford County) with its first 800-plus-pound harvest day on Saturday.

Most of the haul came from zucchini, with tomatoes adding to the big number. The farm has already donated more than 11,000 pounds of fresh vegetables this year to fight hunger and food insecurity in the area. And there’s more to come! Sweet potatoes, cucumbers, Adirondack Blue potatoes, turnips, radishes, beets, butternut squash, cabbage, broccoli, kale, and collards are next in line.
