Virginia State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that shut down part of Interstate 95 southbound Tuesday morning near the 120-mile marker in Spotsylvania.
State Police spokesman Matthew Demlein said in a news release the chain-reaction crash began around 8:54 a.m. when an unidentified white pickup struck a Nissan Kicks and kept going. The Kicks hit a guardrail, spun out and collided with a Toyota Highlander, which was then hit by a tractor-trailer.
Two passengers in the Highlander were injured, including one with serious injuries. A passenger in the Kicks also suffered minor injuries.
Demlein says State Police are asking anyone with information to contact Division II Dispatch at (804) 750-8778 or email questions@vsp.virginia.gov
