Spotsylvania Delegate Phil Scott abstained.

Virginia is the only state that does not allow it’s governor to serve two terms in a row.

A bill allowing Virginia localities to increase sales tax by 1% to fund construction and renovation of schools passed the Senate. Senators Durant, Reeves and Stuart voted no.

After hearing about two hours of public comment, Fredericksburg City Council unanimously approved amendments to the unified development ordinance that increase density in some zoning districts.
