Two of Fredericksburg’s newest eateries are featured in the Northern Virginia Magazine. Tonya Stewart’s article highlights the options for special diets offered by Kickshaws Kitchen and Legume Kitchen and Bar.
Kathy Craddock opened Kickshaws Downtown Market in July 2014, offering organic, locally sourced, all-natural and gluten-free products. She began serving sandwiches, salads and a very popular Saturday morning waffle breakfast. This week, she expanded that into Kickshaws Kitchen at 1002 Sophia St., just around the corner from her market at 101 William St.
Legume Kitchen and Bar opened in August 2016 at 715 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. The vegetarian and vegan focused restaurant is a collaboration between Chef Raymond Renault of La Petite Auberge, and Justin Cunningham, formerly of his own Fizzlebottom’s Café, then executive chef at Spencer Devon Brewery.
