After more than three decades in the fire service, Spotsylvania Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management Chief Cullinan retired Friday, concluding a career that helped shape the county’s fire and rescue department through years of growth and change.
Chief Cullinan spent more than 30 years serving the county, rising through the ranks before leading the department as fire chief and overseeing its emergency response, personnel and operations. Colleagues, current and former firefighters, county officials and family members gathered at the Holbert Building to recognize his service and reflect on his contributions to the department.
