It was standing room only as Brad Belo of Virginia Main Street introduced the format of Monday night’s Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative (FMSI) meeting. “I’m really impressed,” he said of the 87 people gathered in the community room at the Free Lance-Star. “In meetings like these, I usually have 25 people.”

Plans are underway to build a new subdivision along Lafayette Boulevard in Fredericksburg.
Stonewall Heights, planned as 12 single-family detached lots, would be located on 3.3 acres east of Lafayette Boulevard between Morningside Drive and Braehead Drive.

Scrapdoodles is closing. The scrapbooking store at 1315 Central Park Blvd. in Fredericksburg is selling its inventory, including store fixtures, at reduced rates. They have posted new store hours for this period of transition:
Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed all Major Holidays
Store owners said on Facebook they estimate their last day will be sometime in May, depending on how quickly they sell all their merchandise.
